Many pro personnel at Fields pro day, said that they were sure Mac Jones would be the target in SF at 3.
Who knows, we might end up with Fields or Lance.

Yeah I feel like there must be some sort of Ruthian curse on Buckeye QB’s, so as much as I would hate handing the keys over to either . .. I guess I would hate the idea of Lance maybe a half a frozen squirrel testicle less than the idea the Fields. The thought that either would be the anemic hook that Carolina would hang it’s ugly cumbersome hat on makes me pretty sad

They both remind me of a slightly smaller, but faster versions of Cam.
They both appear to be reactionary QBs like Cam. Not throwing till the receiver is open and not relying on timing as much as I would prefer.

There's an automatic assumption that the 49ers traded up for a quarterback. Granted, I think it's probable that they did, but the fact that no one is considering an alternative very interesting. Imagine pairing Sewell with Trent Williams or adding Parsons to that front 7.

Fields would do fine here. He would be going from a spread offense to a spread offense. Mac Jones is a better fit, but Fields has legitimate superstar upside and both guys likely have the same floor. The guy I stay away from is Lance, just because the range of possible outcomes are so vast. It's irresponsible to take him in the first round, let alone in the top 10.

I agree about the line, though.
