    I'm not sold that the Jets think Fields is the answer Lawrence is, but we'll see. If they think Darnold can be salvaged they may be better served by trying.

    Yeah, I suspect he is too. Maybe it is just some technicality Gordon missed, but with his track record, I wouldn't bet on it. If he got high again, and got busted, he is perhaps the most monumentally wasted talent I've ever seen. We have had busts before but it was mostly because their college success didn't translate to the pros. Gordon was a good, maybe one day great, pro WR. He just couldn't stay clean. His post-NFL days are going to be a shitshow.

    Yeah not jumping to a full out suspension could mean a lot of things.

    If he's gone off the wagon again its clear for the x many-th time that he is seeking the check and nfl is more of an enabler than any structure he needs to help overcome his problem.

    I even wanted to trade for him when he fucked up in Cleveland the first time but just a sad cautionary tale now.

    I never want to wish ill on someone with a sickness. It seems obvious that the symptoms he is displaying is beyond his control.
    Wasted talent for sure.
