Walmart has 1.6gig Athalon emachine with 40meg harddrive, cdrw, 125 meg ddrdram 15"monitor and keyboard and stuff, xphome, works suite and other stuff for $598 it's tempting.

Dell and Gateway have similar priced units. I wouldn't use a Emachine as a table personally

e machines are definatly shit. I agree with PAul, you can get a Compaq or anyone else for not much more that will hold up a lot better. Pluss wally world won't be there for you like any computer retailer.

Dell base system is only $599. and if you order online they throw in a burner and some other stuff.
