    Spend 60 bucks more and get a panasonic dmr-es10 dvd recorder. 189 at BB this week, i believe. records +/- r, -rw, dvd-ram. Progressive playback, mp3, jpg.

    Your statement in the form of a question was innaccurate, Stiffler.

    All the wires will be run through the mantle to the wall and under the floor. Trim and paint will be touched up. An electrical outlet will be installed to the left of the TV on the mantle, or under.

    I had a carpenter flush mount the set into the mantle so it wouldn't be too high - hard to tell it's flush with the mantle in the 2D pic. It came out pretty nice - and it makes the toom nicer b/c the focus is on the fireplace, and frees up a wall where the gargantuan 36" Sony is (used to be.)
