Not angry at throwing a lot of money at mediocre players. Instead, we've throw little money at slightly less mediocre players.

The pool was shallow, drove up prices. There were a few guys that could have been considered decent players, but the price the panthers would pay for their services would have been a waste of money.

Instead, they are acquiring talent through the draft and building the depth in FA. That is fine with me.

I wish we were further along, sure. I'd really rather have not neglected our rush while depleting at DT - if we got Coleman (or if his knee troubles were confirmed one way or the other) and an end, that'd have been nice.

But for market money? I don't know if I'd be OK with that even if we did have $35 mil like the Bucs.

I'll be pissed if our plan is to build through the draft and we lay another egg in the draft.

I agree there isn't a lot out there worth the money in free agency.
However, I'm kind of surprised that Fox-Hearney aren't biting at a few of these overpaid flunkies, as this would appear to be the win-or-get-fired year for both of them. If we pin all of our hopes on the draft, and it fails, we go 7-9, they're toast.

The bright side there is that they arent saddling the new regime with shitty players and ridiculous prices.
