Anybody with inside Panther info?

I was slumming over at the Charlotte.com board and ran across this post. Something in this post is bothering me. I'll bold what I'm talking about:

K I talked to Fox today at Rack Room Shoes for the whole two hours about. I got the autographs and all but I got some info on the draft and stuff. There were barely any people there today.

First he said everyone on IR last year is 100% except Stephen Davis and he might not be back next season , its an iffy injury is exactly he said.

Then if anyone cares he said theres a rumor going around were gonna start the season off at Detroit in week one.

Then some guy was getting an autograph and said someones name but i couldnt hear and then i heard him and fox talking about o yea thats terrible he fought for so long and it just surprised us. They were whispering too so no one would hear them but i was close enough to hear the second part of it. Maybe something with Mark Fields or Sam Mills?

Then I asked him if theres any way we trade up in the draft in round one. He said theres a chance but itll be hard with 31 other teams trying to get a guy.

RIght after that i asked if we might go WR in round one and he said theres a prtty good possibilty, and that it all depends whos around but that theyre watching someone really closely but he couldnt tell me who or hed have to kill me. ( I think it might be Troy Williamson because Fox drove down himself to see his workout)I swear on anything i didnt make any of this up i just asked him today at the arboretum.

Fox sure talks. I couldn't believe it when he told me that Foster would be on IR in 2002 before he officially told the press.

Sucks about Davis.Hope he wasn;t talking about a Fields relapse. Mills (god bless) I haven't exected to fare well - he had a bad bad cancer.

 

I remember a while back there was word that Mills's cancer had spread. I have not heard anything recently. I really hope he makes it.

No, because this post was posted on Saturday. Fox was at a Rack Room shoe store Sat. from 11-1 (?) at the Arbortoreum (?) in Charlotte when this person overheard Fox and another fan talking.

 

Oh, boy. What other tragedy can befall us? First, the steroid "scandal" and then the Al Lucas death. Now, possibly Sam Mills? This makes me truly sad.

Well, not meaning to be morbid, maybe if Sam passes away before or during the season, the guys will play for him and dedicate the season to him and hopefully we can make it all the way to the SB and win it for Sam.

Please don't take the above the wrong way.
