I'm kind of scared about that with Jake's penchant for overthrowing at times.

Henning has always said Moose's blocking and size were important to this O. We may see how much.

I'd like to get a bigger reciever in the draft if he does go. I read where we were looking at Vincent, who is freaking huge.

Jake was able to hit smitty on target last year so he should be fine. I look for Colbert to be a lot better this year too after getting all that experience last year.

there is no "next year's salary". Just this year's, and the bonus that has already counted from last year's stupid extension.

I think the question you have to ask is where do we need the most help? I dont think its at WR.

I'm hoping for that, yes. Only way we can keep the most over rated line in the NFL intact.

The cap hit would be the second half of the signing bonus he got last summer, not his 2005 salary.

btw, no, no news. Senior Bowl was hoped to be the end-all negotiation, but that was just hopeful.

The only year Belichick released prominent starting players (not Bledsoe) was in 2003, when he overhauled a secondary consisting of Lawyer Milloy, Tebucky Jones, and Victor Green. If anyone has read the Michael Holly book "Patriot Reign", you know that these cuts were production based and not so much salary cap based. They didn't just release Milloy to "send a message" or "because he cost to much" or "because it's how you win these days in the NFL". They released him because he was too damn slow and suspect in coverage.

Moose, on the other hand, is playing the best football of his career. Add him to a returning Steve Smith and Keary Colbert, you have yourself one hell of a recieving trio. We should caution against taking the New England Model and applying it to an extreme. If we release Muhammad it would be a major error in judgement. If we cut him and sign another freggin running back, as some of you have suggested, it would be the worst managerial move since the Chuck Smith signing.
