Robinson should stay in the mix. He will be active because he is the return man. I would be find letting Taylor fight with Moose and Jarrett for playing time. If Jarrett is the weakest guy then fine he can ride the pine.

    Pretty sure it will be:

    Smith
    Muhammad
    Jarrett
    Robinson
    Taylor
    another inactive or PS guy

    in that order

We're pretty much set with our top 4, for better or for worse.

I guess we would've let him go if we had cared to not let him be in camp, so fair enough. He's been so milkcarton that I'd forgotten he was on staff.

I mean, you're just not going to get much for that final spot. I'm glad we brought back Moose, because finding another starter was a bigger need, but it pretty much rules out adding that true slot receiver that we've been talking about.

Crazy how our WR situation is damn near completely overhauled and it's not even free agency yet.

Pretty much all of it relies on Jarrett.

    Last year:

    Smitty
    Colbert / Carter
    Robinson
    Jarrett

    Next year:

    Smitty
    Moose
    Jarrett
    Robinson
    Taylor / Carter

    Good stuff.

Man, that dude can catch. Can't wait for him to get his shot. I swear John Fox hates to start or play rookies or young guys. Guys have to wait their turn until the vets wheels are falling off or a guy gets injured.

All the rumor mills and reading between the lines from interviews with Delhomme and Smitty about Jarret is that he's got tons and tons of skill but he's got the prima donna thing going. I imagine him making two fantastic catches in practice followed by running a wrong route resulting in an interception or not blocking a guy on a running place the the RB getting blown up. I just get the impression that he's coasting on his talent and hasn't realized the work that needs to be put in. I don't know just my interpretation.

I remember stories about Jarrett wanting to be the next Jerry Rice. Rice was one of the hardest working guys ever as far as training and preparation.

Smitty was on the radio this morning and was asked about him. Said Jarret needed to figure out how to best learn the things he needed to learn and Smitty said he needed to figure out how best to teach him. Basically said he needed to learn the playbook better. Said Moose taught him just by his actions. Between this and Smitty telling him after that game that he needed to go watch some film leads me to some of my conclusions about Jarrett.
