    I would not have taken Newton #1 but the rest of our draft seems decent to me. I would probably not have taken Hogan but I guess you can afford to gamble in the middle rounds. We needed help at DT and we drafted two DTs. We needed depth on the OL and we drafted some OL. We probably got some help on special teams too.

    I would have preferred Dareus and a veteran QB but it is done now so I am trying to get behind it. I really hope Newton surprises me and turns out to be a solid NFL QB.

    yes, that gamble was probably an acceptable risk given that CB had not been addressed and Hogan represented the most upside at that point at a position of need. On the other hand, taking a 55 to 60 million dollar gamble with the first overall pick is not acceptable IMO but we'll all have to wait and see how things play out won't we
