It is pretty clear that we will not get a better RDE than Peppers. To say there is no way the defense can be better next year is wrong though. The bar was not set that high this year. We still have free agency and the draft to remake the defense. Maybe the whole scheme changes with Peppers gone. In any event there were lots of defenses better than ours this year and we had Peppers.

Did Terrell Suggs ever sign a long term deal with the Ravens? He is not Peppers but he is a good pass rusher who would pick up some of the slack. If Peppers and Gross are both gone we ought to have some cap space to chase some guys who could help us.

I never said the defense was terrible all year - OMG LIAR!!!11

See, I thought you were better than that, since you complain about people doing that.

No. Do they measure yards given up just to give statisticians nothing else to do, or is it an accurate measure of performance?

Well, you're partly right. Although, you could have some magical ability to see the actual future, so tell me what record, yard and point ranking we finish with in 2009, and who we have in our starting front seven.

This has grown tiresome. If you have a point to make, then make one. If you want to discuss actual issues on the defense, I'd be glad to. Maybe you could go to that thread I linked and comment on some of the things I suggested.

My point is that you don't know what we'll do for talent and where we'll finish. Can't be much clearer.

So you don't want to discuss football. Gotcha. My mistake.

That is football, you're just not responding to it because you're being obstinate.

You don't know what we're going to do or how we're going to respond. Pretending you do is foolish.

No, I posted suggestions on how to improve the defense but you have no interest in discussing football. Maybe it's because you can't anymore, since you didn't even know that Kemoeatu plays LDT and not RDT. Instead you just want to talk about me. And for the record, I can know that the defense won't be as talented because we're losing the most talented defensive end in the league.

    >>but you have no interest in discussing football.

This is rich coming from the guy who spends more time getting personal in disagreements than anyone.

    >>And for the record, I can know that the defense won't be as talented because we're losing the most talented defensive end in the league.

Tell me what we'll do, since you know what we'll do. You couldn't know otherwise, but you keep avoiding this.

What, you don't want to talk football?
