oh for Peets sake. If there are players...professional football players getting worked up about the opinion of a fan/fans on an internet chat sight then they need clinical help. I mean really, who is the bigger geek, the guy posting this crap on the internet or the player reading it and taking it to heart?

I can confirm that some players read my other board at a time. And I'd have to assume that yeah, if I were out there, I'd be paying attention to what people thought. I don't know that I'd put stock in what they said, though.

And I don't know Peete, but for his sake I'll admit I was just mostly kidding.

I do know that a few players do get a little worked up over what the national media says about them if they're dissed, and occasionally will get worked up over some things that are said when dissed by opposing players before a matchup.

I don't think it really matters in the game tho.

At the very very most, I 'd imagine a coach might use some shit other's on the opposing were talking in the media about as a bit of motivation- tho I'm not sure that alone would make any difference.
