Of the IR'd players, any thoughts on any of them "lessoning needs" for the 2014 season?

Kugbila maybe? Never really got to see if he was worth a damn or not.

Silatolu/Kugzilla might whittle our OL needs to a quality T, which is probably do-able.

Remember that Gross' contract runs out, so you're actually looking at two tackles. I'm also far from comfortable handing a fourth round DII project the job at right guard. Honestly, I wouldn't mind spending the first three or four picks on the offensive line.

According to spotrac the team could save $2.1 million next season by cutting Godfrey.

We'd have to be pretty darned lucky to have the right guys on the board for that many slots but I hear you. Apparently the secondary can do enough with patchwork so put resources into the line. I'm all about the LOS.

This isn't really a needs thread, but we might not keep Hardy around, creating a pretty big need there.

True, although RDE is easier to fill than LDE and you can usually find a veteran to do so at a reasonable cost. As for OL, fortunately it's a pretty deep draft class there.

We'd really miss Hardy so I hope something gets worked out. I mean, we're not getting Clowney. Which, btw, two of our division rivals are so putrid that they could have a great chance to select him in the draft.

Godfrey will definitely be addition by subtraction. I'll be interested to see what we do with guys like Ginn and Mitchell who are on one year deals. You can't keep them all, certainly not if you plan on keeping Hardy and Cam around long term.

I'd really like to see them keep Ginn because he fits this offense perfectly. Don't forget that LaFell's contract is also up. This will be a critical off-season for Gettleman.
