Well, in my lifetime at least, this is how I would rank them:
5. 1981--led by Worthy, this team made the NCAA final only to fall to Isaiah's Hoosiers.
4. 1991--a very deep team who won the ACC Tourney title and earned a #1 seed; lost to Kansas in the Final Four. Led by King Rice, Rick Fox, George Lynch, Hubert Davis, and a big, ugly freshman named Eric Montross.
3. 1984--Jordan, Smith, Daugherty and Perkins couldn't get this team to their 2nd title in 3 years.
2. 1998--Jamison's solid play, Carter's high-flying act and Cota's playmaking skills ran into a mentally tough, very well-coached Utah team in the Final Four.
1. 1995--Very close between this and the '98 team, but UCLA and Arkansas in '95 were much better than any team UNC could've faced in '98. Stackhouse and Wallace were only sophomores but were further along in years than Carter and Jamison. Had they stayed in school this team would have had to beat itself to not win the '96 title.
