    9. Melvin Ingram
    40. Harrison Smith - tough choice here for me between Smith, DT Brandon Thompson, Lavonte David the LB and the CB from Montana. But I think we can use the upgrade at safety
    104. Brandon Brooks - OG -

Those rankings are mildly retarded, but whatever.

    9. OG David DeCastro - I'd rather go defense, but I didn't like anyone there.

    40. CB Trumaine Johnson - If Dennard falls to 37 then you have to trade up for him, but Johnson at least gives some size and skills. I originally had Brandon Thompson here and like Crick too, but there was too much DT talent available later to go with it here.

    104. DT Marcus Forston - Maybe the most talented DT in this class, so why not risk his injury history?

    137. CB Ryan Steed - Tempted by Streeter's crazy blend of height and speed, but Steed is a much better football player.

    168. NT Josh Chapman - Seriously? I can't figure out why everyone has him rated so low. Dude is a warrior.

    201. DE Donte Paige-Moss - We're not making the playoffs in 2012, so you might as well take yet another injured guy. Unlike Chapman, Paige-Moss isn't mature or polished, but he has huge athletic upside and hopefully can be molded by the coaching staff. If that's too much of a risk for the Panthers, then I like Tyler Nielsen as a backup LB and special teamer.

Jenkins CB (only stud on D left ... what's he done that the rest of us haven't?)
    Osemele G
    Ronnie Hillman RB (scat back?)
Tommy Streeter WR (what Collin said ... cept i've never been willing to deny sweet temptations)
    Russell Wilson QB (obvious)
Duke Ihenacho SS (wanted to find a safety in the 4th; but didn't get one there so why not here)

#9 DeCastro = Highest rated football player available. We gambled last year, play it safe this year and upgrade the OL from day one.

The list is too frigged to go by so:

I'd like a decent DT like Brandon Thompson, or Chapman would do.

going to need at least two corners. Either Brandon Boykin or Casey Hayward, then maybe take a gamble on rehabbing talent like Omar Bolden

Beyond an upgrade at G, a big DT, and a couple of promising corners I would feel like anything else in such a crappy class would be asking too much. Would like a DE but without using a day one pick Applewhite and Keiser are probably better help than we would spend a pick on. With Connor leaving and TD and Beas injury prone another big LB/STer like Galippo or Jerry Franklin would be nice but we're shy on picks.

    Screw it
    9 - G DeCastro
    40 - DT Thompson
    104 - CB Hayward
137 - LB Franklin (would rather have Galippo but he'll be gone . .. Sean Spence would be nice too, more of a strong side prospect)
168 - CB Bolden may fall this far depending on status of knee rehab
201 - ? (Wilson will not be here but I'd sure as hell love to have the guy)
