I never liked baseball... too much downtime. I think Nascar drivers are better athletes...

(exception - I enjoy going to an occasional game at a ball park or watching someone I know play)

Geeeez, couldn't they allow the pitchers who have already been used to come back into the game this one time? Or how about allow the fielders who have already played back into the game to pitch an inning each  ? ? Man, I would be highly pissed to pay all that money to see the best players in baseball only to see a tied game   !!!!!!!!!!! Tonight is another reason why America's Pastime is going down the drain . . . Football season, please hurry up and get here!!!!!!!!

OBVIOUSLY none of you know much about the game. The game is an exhibition. Who cares who wins. No one remembers who won or lost. Those people got to see every player play for 11 INNINGS not 9. Granted I think a tie sucks also but there is no need in bringing back in a pitcher for no reason. The game does not count. Maybe they could incorporate some sort of Home Run Derby to settle tie games.

Bear's right, but it's still pretty damn dumb. Way to go, Bud.

One scalped ticket in the 4th deck: $500
One program: $15
3 hot dogs: $9
4 beers: $20
1 souveneir T-Shirt: $25
Feeling you get after watching a tie: Frustration

Oh and Bear, thanks for clearing the exibition thing up:fire:

Selig reminds me of Nero and Rome. Baseball is crumbling around him/us with steriods, teams going under, dwinddling attendance and he allows this.

Did you ACTUALLY CARE WHO WON?? Like I said..the fans got 2 more innings of watching the best players in baseball. What if next year you shell out $500 and take you son to see his favorite player play and he does not play. You read the next day that manager did not put him in in case of a tie. I think you are going to be alot more pissed than making sure someone wins the game.

Bear your right. Hey Paul, without looking it up, what was the score of last years All-star game? It is an exihibition. There was some great performances. I don't know what team you are a fan of but if you were an Atlanta fan and the NLAS manager(a manger for another team) puts Galvine in there for one more inning(or more) and he gets hurt and is out for the rest of the season, you would be even more pissed.

This tie is really a none issue. One thing I think they should have done is at least awarded two MVP awards, one to each team.

I watched the whole game

7-7 was the score. If I want an exibition I watch something like juggling or something where generally there is no outcome. This was a sporting event where generally there is a winner and a loser. I as a baseball fan feel cheated. But then again as we are staring at the 9th (I believe) work stoppage in 30 years I shouldn't be surprised. Just another nail in the coffin for baseball. Phillie fan so I know sufferring :D Best thing they could do is enlarge the rosters by 5 or maybe state there could be no more than 2 pitchers per inning used

If thet are playing basball next year, you can pretty much count on a solution. I would like to see a homerun derby after 10 innings. Every player in each lineup bats once. Use BP pitchers.
