led the team in tackles.... again

CHARLOTTE -- With a 13-tackle performance in Sunday's win over the Saints, Jon Beason broke his own team record for tackles, finishing the season with 169 -- nine higher than his previous standard established as a rookie two years earlier. Beason's three seasons as a Panther have witnessed the three top tackle tallies in franchise annals -- 160 in 2007, 159 in 2008 and 169 this year. The next-best figure in history is by linebacker Micheal Barrow, who, like Beason, is a University of Miami product.

Panthers.com stats doesn't match nfl.com, but as far as the franchise is concerned, this is what they have

    Jon Beason 2009 169
    Jon Beason 2007 160
    Jon Beason 2008 159
    Micheal Barrow 1998 158

someone care to explain to me why he is not in the Pro Bowl?

Because the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest not an actual measure of a players ability or value to their team.

And that is also why the fans don't give a shit about the Pro Bowl. The deserving players get left off (like Beason) and shitty players that don't do anything stats-wise get voted on to the rosters--POPULARITY!!!! :wtf23:

Sure he has he stats, but that don't mean shit. He needs a dance to do when he makes a tackle. That is what pro bowls are made of.

Beason was superior in every category, yet still lost out to Vilma. That's retarded.

the original point was I just love Beason and I think he's the best Panther player we've ever had.... yeah he got fucked on the Pro Bowl selection, but he does play in a smaller market but it is what it is... for 3 seasons, he's proved to be our most consistant and best player... I want 21 more just like him

Agreed except I'll say 20 more because I think Davis is Beasonesque.
