5/3 Disturber Business Article on the STATE OF WFNZ

How can a 5000 watt sports talk station (WFNZ) have the same percentage of viewers that a 100,000 watt FM classic rock station have (WXRC 95.7FM) ? ? ? Does this show how WFNZ bust its ass with little resources that they have (i.e. money for ad/promotional spending, etc.), how incompetant WXRC Mgmt. really is, or is it a little of both ? ? ? ?

Maybe 1 day, somebody at WFNZ will propose to 'the corporate suits' up in NYC they should buy that sorry ass WXRC and make it an all sports station. That would solve the stations puny signal problems once & for all, wouldn't it? Since XRC's revenues are way down in the toilet, I'm sure it wouldn't take much money to buy the station . . .

Easy. They're both radio stations, therefore they both have the same number of viewers... zero.

BigMark: Not a bad comeback . . . .. FYI-WFNZ & WXRC both had 1.5% of the listeners in the CLT market (this chart was in the paper version, but not online for some reason . . .)
