Yeah I think if you held a gun to my head I would've said 5 wins though I trolled about getting more in previous threads. 3 wins before the midway point is spectacular considering how it ended last season. I like that Snow seems to have put together a good enough defense in a no real offseason year with a bunch of rookies being thrown into the deep end. I'm also thinking they better have a replacement for Brady lined up cause he's a name and the offense has looked good.

Keep pounding, Win or lose. Keeping fucking pounding it's what makes Tough Ass Football Teams.

I think you can tap the brakes on the Brady as a HC talk this offseason. He's going to be on some lists, but the reality is he's got one year as an OC in the NFL and he inherited an offense with some pretty decent playmakers. Eric Bieniemy and Robert Saleh are at the top of a lot of lists, and there are several other great coordinators that would be ahead of Brady right now. Also, if Lincoln Riley can be pried out of Oklahoma, he's going to be one of the hot candidates.

I imagine there will probably be five to seven vacancies--Texans, Falcons, Jags, Jets, and Lions are almost sure bets. One of the Chargers, Vikings, and Eagles may elect to move on. I'm betting that at least one retread gets hired, and Bieniemy and Saleh too. Greg Roman is due a shot, and the Bills OC will likely get a call. That leaves one or two HC vacancies with at least a dozen OCs that are more qualified than Brady. Just thought of Kellen Moore too--he's done good things in Dallas.

So don't worry for 2021. Brady's going to have time to build a good offense here before he gets snatched up.

Rhule has exceeded my expectations, as has Phil Snow.

Tahir Whitehead is HORRIBLE, BTW. Time for Carter to get his snaps.

Whitehead is Greg Favors/James Anderson/Chase Blackburn. He's an early down, run defense specialis. It looks like Snow is starting to figure that out.

Also, I like Brady, but I don't love him, and I don't consider him anything close to irreplaceable.

I had a line saying Brady is gone in 2 years but it made my post look even more rambling* I don't expect him gone this year but after next provided the team progresses - it's either head job in the pros (Cincinatti is the lazy bet, San Diego would be where my money is) or college if someone thinks he can gladhand the donors enough and possibly set up a long term dynasty at some SEC school that thinks too highly of themselves like an A&M or Tennessee. Also we're not removed from every coach that shook McVay's hand at applebees after senior bowl practices getting a look even if he isn't hired Brady might talk to people as soon as this offseason.

He took a bit of a step back last week. I did not like some of the early down run calls, and certainly didn’t like some of the red zone stuff they schemed up. Some of that is on Teddy, and some of it is on the line. And, to be honest, the receivers didn’t get much separation against Chicago. They clamped down on the intermediate stuff, which is smart.

Joe needs to be smart about McCaffrey when he comes back. I don’t care what the contract pays out, the Sean Payton system always works best with a pair of versatile backs in the mix. In the first two weeks, they were using McCaffrey in much the same way Norv did, and I don’t like that.
