I just signed up for HD with dish and can't wait for football season. I've read that CBS will offer full 3 1080i Hi-Def games per week and Fox will do 6 780p Hi-Def games. Then of course you have the Monday Night and Sunday Night games in HD. I've never seen a game in HD before and I'm really looking forward to it.

I'd be curious too if any of the preseason games are in HD. I would doubt it.

Football games in HD are okay. All they are is just clearer. It's not like you can feel the hits. I've watched 2 Super Bowls in HD and they weren't all that. HD just makes programs clearer and some programs have different camera angles. I just don't know what all of the fuss is about.

the HD broadcasts are also in dolby 5.1. get yourself a good home theatre sound system and you will. tinker with the sound to get the background noises louder...then the hits will come through the sub bass. I had mine cranked for the superbowl...turned the main channel down to minimize the annnouncers voices and upped the other channels. sounded like I was sitting in the stadium.

Boo, I guess you're right. When I went to that guy's house, it was for a SB party but he couldn't crank up the HTS because there were so many peple there and wife gets kinda cranky when he turns the HTS up really loud.
