They sure do know how to make a first episode. Now if they will just go easy on the fluff in the middle.

Hmmmmmmm, can Jack take down 6 terrorist at the Ontario Airport  ? ? Who is the main bad guy? What is his connection to the 'rat' Presidental Staffer who altered the phone call between the first lady and President Palmer? So many questions that need answering in the next 22 episodes . . . Season 5 is going to be the shiznit   !!!

Former President gets killed not his brother. President Logan is still a freaking idiot. Wonder who they patterned him after. I bet Chloe's bed mate is a bad guy. No loss in killing off the woman who along with her husband left the biz last year. Tony will be back I bet. JoBeth Williams is set to join the cast this year. maybe see her tonight

I'm betting Logan is in on everything. Why go against the advice of CTU when it comes to the safety of a foreign leader? Palmer was writing a book, was Logan afraid of being exposed as unable to cope with what happened with the Muz terrorists?

it would actually be cool if the president was in on it...24 always has a higher badguy running things, but his assistant at the end made it seem obvious that he's clueless to everything.

I enjoyed season 1 and 2, but sorta tailed off with season 3. I did see some of the final weeks of season 4 last year. I watched both episodes last night and I gotta ask, how do the bad guys keep getting moles/helpers in such high goverment positions. I look at "24" now as just a high octane soap opera. ( but I may still watch this evening)

the assistant was in on trying to whack Jack last season. which does kinda strike me as odd on him being clueless at the moment, but who is the other guy they kept cutting to that was talking to the team of assasins? He seems intent on taking out the Russian prez and with Logan insisting things go as scheduled they could be in on the plot together. Could be the assistant knows and has cold feet with the ramifications of a foreign leader getting whacked on US soil. Wasn't he the one that got the doctored recording of Palmer's call to the first lady though?

I love 24. My friend and I picked up the Season 1 and 2 DVD's 2 years ago and have been watching ever since. Even named my dog Bauer. I think if Jack was on the Lost island all the others would be dead by now. This season is already starting off way better than a Season 4 that was probably the worst out of them all (But still damn good.)
