I must say, I feel like Detroit is being insanely overrated this year. They'll be solid again, but it's mostly the same team that started last season 1-6 and then got humiliated by the Panthers in December.

They had a legit offense in 2022, but you'd expect some regression when Jared Goff is your quarterback.

The defense is still questionable on paper.

I think 2-4. Go 2-0 and hope to steal one. Maybe the Vikings

We start at Atlanta, and that's actually going to be a bit of a test. They took steps to upgrade their defense, but aside from Jessie Bates III I don't think there's a major improvement anywhere. If we can contain Bijan in his debut, and make Ridder look like the future journeyman backup that he is, we should be able to come away with a win. That's contingent on the wide receivers actually doing well, and Bryce finding them. In a way, this is a favorable team to open against, because they were pretty bad at pressure last year. I call it 50/50 here.

The Saints on Monday Night Football are going to be all about Derek Carr. I think our speed on defense will neutralize Kamara and we're going to be better on offense than we were last year, when we swept them. I'm pretty comfortable predicting a win here.

Seattle is going to be pissed off at how we handled them last year, but we're still built to beat them. They focused on improving their secondary and we're going to run it down their throat again. Still, I can't see us taking them by surprise, so I'm calling this a loss.

Minnesota is one of those really annoying teams to predict, because they don't scare anyone but they're good enough to beat anyone. They'll be better on defense with Flores calling the plays, but so will we with Evaro, and I think we're going to be good enough to prevent any late game heroics from Cousins. I think this is just going to be a win.

Playing in Detroit early in the season should be fun. This will be their fifth game, and I bet they'll be sitting at 1-3 and wondering how they got beaten by the Packers AGAIN the prior week. We beat them up last December with 320 rushing yards, and I think we do it again. Another win here.

The Miami game is going to be tough sledding, particularly if Tua hasn't gotten hurt yet. I just think we come down to earth against them and look bad. This is a loss all day.

1-5 is conceivable, but I doubt it. I think we're going to be 2-4 or 3-3, with an outside chance at 4-2 if Young is really all that. We've got more talent than we've had in a good long time, one of the best coaching staffs on paper in team history, and we finally (hopefully) have a quarterback. It's going to be a good season.

Shit i think Young being tiny is going to be a huge positive. .. it will inspire a protective paternal instinct and the panther O-line will move heaven and earth in their righteous calling to keep him from harm
Haven't you all seen "The Blind Side" ?!
