This is kind of a list of players that were mentioned for the Panthers last year as well as rookies in general. I personally wanted Fletcher Cox who has played great for a suspect Eagle defense. I remember Dontario Poe being our pick in various mocks and his name is rarely mentioned anymore. Stephon Gilmore is playing well and the Observer had him coming here. Michael Brockers another name mention here is playing well after getting hurt in preseason. The draft gurus around here probably saw it but Bobby Wagner and Robert Irvan in Seattle are leading a very good defense in Seattle. Gilmore along with Barron in Tampa, Casey Hayword in Green Bay and Claimore in Dallas seem to be on their way to nice careers.

Luke is second in tackles in the LEAGUE and I really don't see the Panthers moving him outside when Beason comes back. He really took off when he moved back inside, kind of like when Urlacher moved inside his rookie year. I'm hoping the Panthers can find lightning in a bottle again next year and help this team continue to get better.

yeah, Cox has been the best of the DTs. Was very wary of him for good reasons but he'd be as good as any. The outside rushers have struggled, excepting Irvin oddly enough.

Damn we missed a chance to have Cox and Johnson inside.

All we'd need is a guy with the initials KY and we'd be set.

Kuechly is more of a London Fletcher type than Urlacher, but if he can be 80% of what Fletcher has been then he'll be awesome. His cover skills haven't been as advertised and he runs around blocks a little too often. Not all tackles are equal, which is why it would be cool to see them weighted by yardage.

Silatolu has also been playing better recently.
