I would be happy with either of those guys (Reiff or Blackmon), even if they aren't considered "need".

Adding a WR to help out Cam makes a lot of sense. I was against it in the past because I did not think Cam would be a good passer. Now that it is clear that he can pass the ball well we ought to get him more weapons. Smith is still good but for how much longer. Gettis and Lafell are still guys that I hope to see good things out of but they have not shown it yet. There is room on the roster for all four of them.

The defense needs help as well but if Beason comes back 100% and they can get a better grasp on the system in the offseason it will be better. If they get a shot at a solid corner to pair up with Gamble they need to consider it pretty hard though.

I'm on the bandwagon for wanting OLine. You can only patchwork it so long before it falls completely apart. If that was the option, I'd take Reiff start him at RT for now and move Otah inside. He can't stay healthy anyways.

Blackmon won't make it that far, and I don't want Reiff that high. Best bet at this point would be to trade down.

Anyway, I thought this thread was going to be about signing up for teams so we can have a board mock draft. Let's do that again.

I can see taking a WR if Blackmon were there. We have quantity and a lot invested, but I'm not so sure about quality. OTOH, I don't really see it as a pressing need.

I can see OT, because I have zero faith in Otah and Gross has been around for a while. Play the draftee at RT the first year and swap him and Gross.

This is if there is no impact defensive player. If there is one where we pick, we have to go there.

Blackmon would be a big upgrade, but I just don't think that'd be in play unless it was both BPA and we'd made at least one big move in FA on defense, and a couple depth or starter moves.

I do feel like the team would like to make an upgrade at WR, but I don't. I think we've put so much in already, at some point you let them develop. It assumes Smith will be able to go on longer, but I feel confident in getting two more out of him.

That's the big question. I think most are comfortable with LaFell and Gettis as role players, but the situation changes drastically whenever Steve either leaves or loses his explosiveness. When that happens, it kills the offense unless there is a Blackmon ready to replace him. I think St. Louis takes him at #2 or #3, so it won't matter anyway.

That's fine, if you're worried now about 3 years from now. In the meantime we have another side of the ball that isn't 5th overall.
