2009 Draft Running Thread

don't expect as much interest, but I'll still be following it. First pick or not. The thing is, guys who are considered first rounders now, and 5th rounders now, have almost the same chance at being there in the 50s when we first pick.

So, just a thread to compile some things I came across in passing.

with all of the juniors expected to come out because of the signing bonus thing, i think it's a good year to not have a first rounder.

 

wouldn't mind being the last pick of the second round

 

So much depends on what we do with our free agents and others teams. I could see a DT being a rd 2 or 3 pick

 

it's also the sort of year where the best known collegiates aren't the best prospects, so I think it'll be a good year to pick in the 2nd and 3rd, and there isn't a stacked position we need like RB or OT was last year. Monetarily not having a top pick is a good thing too, but I'd certainly take one.

Hackett stayed the same being injured most of his career. Landon Johnson will surely be shown the door unless he severely lowers his salary from the 3 mil or so it is next year. Does Bridges stay after his police troubles?
