New York Giants select Chad Jackson WR.

I thought about getting some offensive line help or a much needed upgrade at linebacker, but both of those can wait. Jackson allows the Giants to finally put Amani Toomer out to pasture and gives them a big play threat to complement Plaxico Burress. Jackson may be another Florida bust and I may be putting too much stock in his combine performance, but he always looked good in the games I saw the Gators play, and he might be the best WR in a draft talent-poor at the position.

wow, nothing of super good fit here for the Panthers. I looked at several options including taking Mangold to replace Mitchell, Jackson was on my mind until the Giants scooped him up. soem good TE's, but thats just not what we'll do. I took a long hard look at Tamba Hali and the DE from NCSU thinking I could project them to OLB but I'm still on the fence about the Thomas Davis pick from last year. (damn tweeners)

I could probably get a guy later that fills this need, but I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger now so I avoid "settling for" another Ellsion.

with the 27th pick in the first round, The Carolina Panthers select Rodrique Wright Dt Texas.

If I were drafting for the Jags I would look to shore up their OLBs or WR. Names that would fill these needs are Derrick Hagan WR, or DeMarco Ryans OLB
