Got bored and started looking at the current 2006 Mock Drafts. The one postion that keeps showing the Panthers drafting is TE. Over half of those out there listed the following guys as possible picks

    1. Marcedes Lewis, TE, UCLA
    2. Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia
    3. Vernon Davis ,TE, Maryland

    Other guys mentioned are:
    Ryan O'Callaghan OT Cal
    Brodrick Bunkley DT Florida State
    Orien Harris, DT Miami (FL)
    Martin Nance WR Miami (OH)
    Max Jean-Gilles OG Georgia
    Hagan, Derek, WR Arizona St.

I know the seaon isn't close to being over, but curious what everyone thought as a need for the team?

    In order,

RB, C, other OL, DT, QB.

I think we're OK at TE. I like Gaines.

IMO, WR, LB, more help on the Oline other than C as well as your list.

Oops I missed WR and that's a BIG one, but I'd prefer a vet and not rookie unless its a sure fire draft pick. As far as LBer goes I almost agree, but I see Thomas Davis moving there next year, and Seward showed big time potential before getting hurt. So I don't exactly expect them to go in that direction at all. As far as other than Center on the Oline, Gross isn't going anywhere, Wahle is set, I think Wharton isn't great, but he is slowly getting better. He would've been better had they waited with him a little longer, but there's nothing that can be done about that now. I'm not a big Reyes fan, but I have high hopes for Mathis. So I really don't see too many other OLine spots that will be filled via the draft. Now if they decide to move Mathis to Center as there was some speculation that could happen then sure I'd be more than happy w/ a OG or even a OT if they would move Wharton back inside.

Agreed on LB if those things happen. I just know there is a big question on who will be here, and we know we can't depend on Danica.

As for Oline, I don't care how it's handled, somebody improving, or just one player added to the mix, we have got to be better at blocking for the run.
