2006 Base Salaries for the Panthers

    It all depends on how the bonus was structured. Signing bonuses get pro-rated whereas roster bonus count entirely in the league year paid.

    Look at what the Eagles did with TO last year for example. That 9+million bonus that he got was originally reported as a "signing" bonus. The Eagles actualy paid it as a 6 million or so roster bonus since they had the cap to burn and a 3ish million signing bonus which could be prorated. Of course that burns them now since they only get to reclaim a piece of the signing bonus.


    It's also possible that some performance bonuses not classified as "likely to be earned" were in there as well that would boost the numbers next year.

    yep, I am splitting the signing bonus over the lenght of the contract. Oh and blackcatfan I wouldn't be dumb enough to use the PC for non work related internet surfing ;) now I do have several spread sheets for work purposes staffing and such. Is it my fault that oneof them is called Staff salaries :bananalam
