If the Keyshawn for draft pick trade goes down instead of the Keyshawn for Galloway trade, Bill definitely won't trade for Henson. Then again, I'd bank on Henson being in the draft pool at this point considering comments from the teams that have been interested in trading for him.

It does look like Henson is using the Texans to allow him to get workouts on his terms, and yet the only sticking point in trade is the contract.

Meaning yeah, it'd be very hard to see the Texans benefitting from him right now. He's just playing them.

My premonition of Ware/Reid starting in our secondary doesn't sound so far-fetched now, huh?

Magnus, since you are the closest thing we have to a resident draft guru, who would you want to see us draft assuming we do not add any more free agents. I am assuming you want help for our secondary. I am thinking corner in round one, free safety in round two and then maybe an offensive guard in round three. I do not follow college ball too closely so I do not know enough to say who we should take.

Lots of teams need corners, so I'm beggingin to think the best secondary player for us may be Georgia FS Sean Jones. We may have to trade up a bit to get any of these guys.

The top 5 corners are these, and I'll list how I think they may go, not neccerily my order of preference.

    1. Deanglo Hall - Fastest player in the draft. Not real big or physical, but quick and smooth. Sometimes gets lazy with his technique. A lot like Fred Smoot with more speed. Great coverage skills, cocky, but sometimes loses concentration and doesn't play the run. Can also be a dangerous kick returner.

    2. Dunta Robinson - IMO, would be the best fit for us. But I don't think he will last till 31. Built a lot like Howard is built, very physical, but with speed. Ran a 4.37 or thereabouts. Very fast, and is very fluid. He can cut without losing speed. Likes to hit, and is a sure tackler. Isn't much of a leaper, and stands about 5'11. Only played about one year of corner, played some safety before.

    3. Gamble - More athlete than player right now. Ohio State prospect that switched between WR and corner, so he's not a very polished corner right now, but teams like his athletic ability. A team with some older vets who want to work Gamble in as a nickle could probably take him for his upside.

    4. Will Poole - A late riser who played very well in one year of starting at USC. Very similar player to Dunta, not quite as fast, but a physical player who can shift with smaller recievers. Got kicked off BC team a few years ago for unknown reasons, which is why he only started one year at USC. We went tp his workout. It didn't go well, but he was apparently sick and will try again later. A bad workout might keep him from rising or let him fall to us, so he could be a panther.

    5. Derrick Straight - Most experienced corner. A bit small, not real, real fast, but doesnt' make a lot of mistakes and plays with good technique. Less upside, but less downside.

There are some other rising players at corner, like Ahmad Carroll and small school players like Ricardo Colclough that may we may be able to take later. Both have great speed and first round measurables, but Carroll is an inexperienced Junior and Colclough is a small school guy.

For us, I'd pass on Gamble outright, i'm torn regarding Straight, I'd probably take the more athletic player in a FS like Jones, who would be able to come in and start without much problem. Should any of the other 3 corners fall take them in a heartbeat.

I would not mind having that Caroll guyt just so we can have a guy nick named Batman in our secondary.

Just imagine "Holy burnt toast Batman" "We will not allow a 90 yard TD pass next time old chum"
