Their starters played the full half, ours only played the first quarter. :blah:

I expected more from the D-line last night. For what they're being paid, I'd like to see them flat out owning opposing O-lines.

Jon Jansen and Chris Samuels are very good tackles. Plus, give the 1st team D more time than a couple of series and they'll get their sacks.

They got an interception the very first series and went 3 & the following. They started coming off the field after that. What more do you want?

i'd like to see them able to stuff the running game and blow some ball carriers and QBs up

Go back and watch the tape and look at how much help they gave their Right Tackle. I didn't pay attention too many plays, but the plays I did, there were two guys minimum on Pep.

the defense is pretty vanilla in the preseason. They're not overly aggressive. I'm not too concerned.

I think our third down defense will be better this year. We finally have three strong corners and potentially a guy who can cover tight ends. Most third downs are converted via the pass which will be the strength of our D. I am still a little worried about our run D but if Jenkins and Morgan stay healthy we should be OK.

I was impressed with Buckner on that play where he held off the O-lineman with his left hand and took down Ramsey with his right hand.
