I don't think some of you guys are aware of the process that went on here.

I DO NOT HAVE BAN POWERS. Hell, I don't even WANT ban powers. I have to go to LarryD if I want somebody banned, and I've only done that twice--the first time was with YINZER, after an exceedingly crude post (which was directed at solarte) that I felt was way WAY over the top. Larry suggested I send YINZER a PM first, asking him to knock it off--which I did. This is only the second time that I've gone to Larry to request a ban, and I did it only after careful deliberation. I told Larry why I was requesting the ban, and told him specifically what whiteguy had done that I felt merited a holiday from this board--to wit:

1) his "darky" comments about Kevin Weekes--which IMO have no place at all anywhere.

2) his demand that realtyczar be banned in this thread , when czar hasn't done a goddamn thing at all on this board that would warrant a ban.

So he's on vacation.

I don't think it's an abuse of power--an abuse of power is if I ask for The Sheriff to be banned because of the times he's called me a whore just because I've stood up to him. An abuse of power is if I ask for Playa to be banned because of his whiny "boo hoo hoo, there's no place on the hockey board for a black man" BS. Hell, it's an abuse of power if I ask for YINZER to be banned for one over-the-top post despite the fact that he's been a good boy since then.

I frankly don't care if one poster or two posters think that this should be an "anything goes" forum--if you want a board where anything goes and people can do or say whatever they want, then go to R&R.
