Just curious, how has losing Nelson effected us at all? He hasn't started a down for the Panthers EVER. I would bet a good number of fans would say he was a wasted pick

How many turnovers has the defense cause so far in 4 games? 3 maybe. Despite the loss of offensive players I put the majority of the blame on the defense.

I wanna say Defensive Tackling, but chose O-line play because I'm HOPING that if the Offense would stay on the field longer the defense would play a little better. I also don't like the fact that Jenkins isn't getting push up the middle. Buckner is non existant. Peppers and Rucker are getting doubled down and while they seem to be playing the best of the 4 linemne can't be as effective without help. I don't know that I've heard Will Witherspoon's name called all year for tackling anyone. Secondary isn't playing bad in passing down ecspecially considering they aren't getting pass rush help. D looks BAD overall. The O line still isn't opening holes for the RB's and they're having to leave extra blockers back to help in the passing game. You fix those thing I listed there and the team wins football games.

    are you kidding me?

Our defense is WEAK WEAK WEAK this year.

I don't mind giving up all the rushing yards ( which no name running back had a career day on us yesterday?) since we are getting so many sacks and forcing turnovers.

Oh yeah the D isn't doing any of those things either.

The D Line was the ONE sure thing we had back in tact this year and it has been the biggest bust so far.

Everyone on the D has forgotten how to pressure, tackle and cover.

The scrubs on the Oline are not up to par.

Injuries to playmakers don't help much either.

Nobody on the team, save for Delhomme, seems to give a shite whether we win or lose. And on top of that, many seem to think they're too good to sign autographs- and they're the same ones who haven't shown up to play this year. I think the hype has gone to their heads.

    Henning is even more predictable.

There seems to be no D gameplan.

Did I mention the D has forgotten how to pressure, cover and TACKLE?

Special teams suck this year too. And in addition, get flagged constantly.

There is a general loss of actual fundamentals on the entire team this year.

Well he was projected as the starting guard for the team this year and is a second round pick from a year ago. I feel anytime you have to downgrade your line to replace an injury it takes away from overall ability. BTW he started last year in place of Mitchell against the Giants.

We have the same problems in week 6 we did in training camp:

    unmovtivated defensive line
    untalented clusterf*** offensive line

Only now, it's worse. Now there are injuries to deal with, too.

Every stinking one of those multimillionaires wearing a number that starts with 9 oughta get restructured. Free up enough money to grab a couple more offensive linemen. Big Cat Williams is still out there, as far as I know. There are bound to be more guards out there, too. I'd even give Barret Robbins a shot at this point. How 'bout bringing Lincoln Kennedy out of retirement? Sure they're used up, but they've got to be better than what's serving as starters now.

I doubt Nelson would've been a mitigating factor where he would've been better than what we have.

But it would've been nice to have at least attempted him. Now we get to wait another year to see what we presumably expect.

Before you put all the blame on the D think about this:

Colts have the #2 Offense and the 32nd Defense and are 3-1
Vikes have the #1 Offense and the 31st Defense and are 3-1

Look at the PPG! (Points Per Game). I think it's on both sides of the ball for the Panthers. I think the Offensive injuries have hurt that Panthers more and I hate that. I think that Peppers is playing well, and I thought that Before his interception. Another problem the Panthers have and you can see it yesterday with Willig, is that frustration is setting in. Fox, is going to have to address that right now.
