Just got back from the game. IMO, Jake needs to stay in the shotgun regardless of the play. When he is under center he always runs back and does not look around until he completes his dropback. He doesn't back up and look like Favre and many other QB's. He loses field vision and time it seems like and can be blind sided much easier. This may or may not be a big problem but it seemed to me it caused some mistakes and the int that the Falcons ran back for the TD. Anybody else notice this??? Or am I totally crazy?

Penalties and turnovers also killed us tonight. Sloppiest shit I have seen from us in a while.

Worst game he has played by far. He looked very frustrated out there, slumping shoulders, overthrows, we need him to be a positive force out there. He has got to rally the troops, didnt see it today.

I honestly thought as badly as he played that Peete or Weinke may get some pt.

jake played fine except for the one bad pass that put the game away.

    23 of 38 for 308 and 2 picks.

I kept wondering when they were going to give up on the cutsie screens and shit, and then Mathis suckered Jake into what turned into a TD.

We gave that game away. If not for all the turnovers we win. Moose's fumble probably cost us a touchdown. Jake's two ints hurt a lot too. This may just not be our year seems like all out luck is bad this year. If we do go down the tubes atleast we will draft high and probable get kick ass right tackle. Losing our running game is what is hurting us the most.

Just wondering, but does anybody think he had some kind of hand injury affecting him. I know that was the first thing I worried about when he was looking at it, he banged it up and will be off all game. Jake, being Jake I wouldnt be surprized if he thought he would be fine and stayed in. He ends up throwing 2 picks, I know one wasnt really his fault. Just a thought

He sure did. Fox told the sideline reporter that he had been out of it in the 1st half after that hit but was fine now. I wonder. I think he meant a little foggy headed.

Stats are a damn lie. At one point Jake was 9/16 and he had sailed 3 passes way too high, one of which Moose caught. He also had an INT that was not counted due to an offsides penalty. Jake had the most unaccurate 23/38 day in league history. Not saying it was all his fault, but he most certainly didn't "play fine."

1 for a TD! Can't give Atlanta 7 points, regardless.

that int you refer to that was nullified with the offsides. well he tried to thread the needle with a pass and make a big play, since he knew he had the offsides call. qb's do that all the time when they know they have the offsides call. don't use that one.
