Granted, Seiffert was a better coach than Capers. Nieither of them can hold Fox's jock strap though. I really believe that John Fox is THE BEST coach in the NFC! I would rather have him coaching a team. I have heard the man speak and he reminds me so much of another winner named John (Wooden). And he didn't do too bad in College Basketball.

I think Joe Gibbs, Bill Parcells, and Andy Reid might have a few things to say about that.

Andy Reid has never been to a superbowl and we beat him like a drum in the NFC championship game.

Gibbs was the best in his day but the jury is still out on whether he can still do it after being gone for so long.

Parcells is a good coach but we did beat him in the playoffs last year. It remains to be seen if he can get the cowboys really back in contention, beyond getting a wildcard.

Andy Reid has been to three consecutive NFC Championship games with constant injury problems, no consistent running game and absolute crap for wide receivers. He ran into a buzz saw that had strengths his roster couldn't overcome. I don't think that had any bearing on his coaching ability.

Like Fox, Gibbs inherited an absolute mess. The difference? Gibbs has done it before, and gone all the way with it. Fox has Delhomme -- Gibbs had Rypien. And Williams.

Certainly. But taking that mess from 5-11 to a wildcard game in one year is impressive. They'll have a down year this year because Quincy Carter can't stay clean, but I look for Dallas to come roaring back next year with Drew Henson at the helm.

Trying to put a finger on this....

Collins off the field antics hurt the organization. Provided a distraction with the DUI, the racist remark, etc.

On the field, he wasn't a bust (like Ryan Leaf). I think a decent comparison would be Tony Eason. Eason led the Pats into a SuperBowl, Collins took Carolina to the NFC title game, but couldn't maintain that level of play. Collins did rejuvenate with the Giants (and he looked ok against TB SUnday night).
