I think Nextel is based in Reston, VA outside of DC . . . With a new track opening up in Staten Island, NY NASCAR will truly be in the number one media market vs. on the fringe in Upstate NY . . . . . I could see it happen :) . .

Ive definately seen a change in my viewing habits. Used to get pissed off if I missed a race or had something to do while ther ace was on. I missed most of the race last sunday to do yard work and didnt even care. One reason is NBC's coverage is horrible.

It was on NBC? I have only seen one race in NBC, the Brickyard. Everything else has been on TBS, which I don't get. At least Fox put all the races on Channel 11/18 down here.

Who really cares anyway. This new points system sucks, and it's football season. I read somwhere if you finish 9th in the last races you will win. Is that F'up or what.

It's sure to piss CASCAR off. Canada's version of NASCAR. But if NASCAR want World Wide attention, I guess it makes sense. Somehow it's going to be hard to root for the UPS Camry, or the Dupont Altima.

CASCAR is the Canadian equivalent to NASCAR. NASCAR is going international with the introduction in the next few years of foreign sedans into "Stock Car" racing. No longer will it be Dodge, Ford & Chevy. It will be Nissan, Toyota, + the "Big" 3. The Craftsman Truck Series is just the start.
