On Smith's leg, we put this together for tomorrow's paper

    Broken Fibulas

Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons suffered a broken fibula, the same bone Steve Smith broke, in August 2003 and didn’t return until late November. He missed 11 games total.

The Arizona Cardinals’ Marcel Shipp broke his fibula in practice in August and was projected to be out at least eight weeks. The Cardinals placed Shipp on injured reserve, so he’ll miss the season.

Seattle linebacker Chad Brown broke his fibula Aug..23 and is projected to miss the first four games of the regular season, which would put him out eight weeks, including a bye week.

I don't see that as a 4-6 week deal. Not at all.
But hey, each his own. I damn sure would rather it be a month. Sticking to at least 8.

Probably see Baker activated before Colbert because of his return game - no?

And our starter would be Prohel? Hankton?

We may need to activate both.

I think we needed Colbert last night. He should get the go ahead. It killed me to be down like that and not be able to go 4 wide...with WR's.

Wow, that sucks, yet it's a hell of an inside scoop.
