Think I just heard Beuerlein on 610 discussing Henning's concerns

Don;t you guys rememebr how bad the run game was last preseason? The goal line stand (4 and out from the 2) against GB?

Last preseason, our first team offense didn't score a TD the whole preseason.

The run game didn't click at all until The second half of game 1 last year.

And alot of games last year, adjustments were made to get the run game working. The 1st team - other than last week (no davis) - hasn;t had alot of time for adjustment to the run game.

 

I seem to remember alot of drives stalling inside the 5 last season

 

Of course, last season Rodney Peete was our first team quarterback, which helps explain why our first team offense didn't score a TD. Last year's pre-season can't be compared to this years because both Delhomme and Steve Smith have improved leaps and bounds in terms of confidence.

yeah, but I have a feeling the line changes by the time the MNF game comes around. Reyes abd Willig come back. Does this mess up chemestry??? And I'm not even badmouthing either of those players. The addition of Kadela and seemed to help a TON, and Brzeznski didn't play like a turd.
