I have some family members that have been going down to training camp and surprise surprise, we continue to see how big of a prick Jerkins is.

Story one: Practice had ended. Jerkins goes and jumps on one of the carts that is sitting there. He throws the thing in reverse and comes flying up the sidewalk. He has yet to turn around to see what or who may be behind him. My uncle says that there is a security guard not far up the sidewalk. Well everybody that's standing there is waiting on Jerkins to stop. By the time they realize he's not going to, it's to late. The cart clips the guy in the back of the knees and throws him onto the back of the cart. My uncle said Jerkins jumped off of the cart and goes in without ever speaking to the guy to see if he is alright. Other people carry the guy inside. A few minutes later they come wheeling the guy out with an inflatable cast on his leg. Another security guard told them that it was a blessing that the cart was just the right height. Had it been any shorter or taller, the injuries would have been much worse.

Story two: This week they were back down there. A man standing next to my cousin had purchased one of the 8x10's they have for sale. He asked Jerkins if he would mind signing it. Jerkins holds the pin in his fist like a 3 year old and just goes round and round on this guys picture. He finally bears down so hard that it tears the picture. He gives it back to guy and says, "How much can you get for that on e-bay?" He then walks off laughing.

Another example of Kris Jerkins = Asshole.

damn, the article in the paper about the accident was a little different. not to defend jenks, but i wouldn't ask him for an autograph. i may ask him to let jamie take a picture of him and i together for the house, but no autograph. was the guy a legit fan?

My uncle said the guy was. The thing is, my uncle is a huge Panther fan. Been a PSL holder since day 1. Had season tix. the one year at Clemson. He is Panther crazy, but he has a problem with Jerkins as well. He's seen the behavior first hand. He said he really felt bad for that guy wanting the autograph. He said that Jerkins was the only the guy he asked for an autograph and that was the only picture the guy purchased. Said the guy just turned and walked away.

He told me to that the story in the paper about the cart deal didn't do it justice.

I would think that KJ would have reason to believe that the items were headed to ebay, like maybe he thought he had already signed some for him. Stuff like that goes to ebay all the time. Probably should stick to something like an autogragh book for keepsakes.

Or better yet, instead of ruining the guys picture, just walk the fuck away. Nobody says you have to stop.

    What does that serve?

Sorry I missed the thread. All I know is that the biggest Panther fan I know personally said that when it happened, and he was standing there, Jerkins jumped of the cart and didn't say a word to the guy. I'm sure after somebody got in Jerkins ear, he did apologize to the poor guy. But when he hit him he sure didn't.

I stood beside KJ in the gym entrance for about 15 min listening to him talk to fan and signing autos. He was very courteous and signed everything put in front of him. He joked about Pep and Buckner whorshiping the Madden game and said it was easier to get Pep to wash his dishes than to get him to sign autographs. Seens like a nice guy to me.

Who the fuck cares about his demeanor with the public or the security guards? All I care about is how he plays on the field. He's a beas!

This brings up a point I've been noticing lately. Am I the only one that thinks the Observer is courteous to a fault when it comes to Panthers coverage? Pretty much every article I've read within the past 6 months at least seems to be blowing major sunshine up my five hole. Case-in-point: You would think there would be an article about the battle for the backup QB job, how poorly Peete has been playing, wondering why Peete is still around, etc (pretty much the same discussion we have been having on this board for some time). But there is no mention whatsoever. So, I actually happen to be inclined to believe this guys story, as I am starting to think that Yasinkas/Sorensen just post whatever article the Panthers PR department feeds them.
