Thought this might interest some of you.

I'm probably going to go for it because NFL coverage over here isn't so good.

I remember some people talking about this kind of thing after the season last year.

'over here' being Scotland? I assume so because driverdown are from Glasgow. The DVD will be region 1 so you must have a multi-region player.

I guess the biggest issue for US folks is the NTSC thing...

Also a good place to find one that is if you don't have one. They don't sell them, but they have links to sites that do.

droogie: Interesting, but expensive! The Panthers will be on UK TV on both of the opening weeks though. Monday Night Football on Channel 4, then the Chiefs game on Sky.

Do you get to any/many games in the States?

Sorry about driverdown! What sort of music? Do they sound like anyone else? Do you get onto the TBR Music site much?

I've looked at the TBR music area a bit... not much though. I think i was there trying to pimp the band for a bit.

They sound like muse / massive attack / mibbe a bit of mansun/garbage...

    Basically guitars + synth + piano + female+male singer.

the cd's officially for sale (they have sold a couple of hundred) but if your interested i'll give you a link for the version of the cd that has me on it (they re-recorded my bits out... its a tragedy i'm telling ya.)

    re: expensive...

yeah.. I've paid for sky sports for the last three years for my NFL fix. its £38 per month and you basically need 5 months (sept, oct, nov, dec, jan).

This year, I can't afford the sky thing (going back to uni) - I can't really afford the pontel thing either... but... dang. not sure what to do.

    btw..

never been to a game in the states. Never *been* to the states.

I do stats for the Claymores so I've been to all their games forever (roughly) and I've been to a couple of the worldbowl finals but thats it (plus some UK college games)

Never seen the Claymores but saw loads of Monarchs games when I was working in London. Met a bunch of Claymores fans in Houston at the Super Bowl. Good People (even though they were Pats fans :teeth: ).

If you're an impecunious student then I guess you won't get to the States for four or five years, and even then you'll have to extend your overdraft. It'll be worth it though; seeing the Panthers live is an experience.

I used to do stats for the Cardiff Tigers (who became the Tiger Bay Warriors, who became the South Wales Warriors). Good fun, especially when we beat the Glasgow Lions in the playoffs one year!

Link for driverdown - yes please, though I think my taste in music is a little heavier.
