I went too, it had a certain excitment to it. but I didnt have a real good time, I had to go by myself since somebody just decided not to go.
They had all the trophys on display, that was pretty cool to see them and all the names of the winners on them. And of course the Stanley Cup was awesome to see. And the general addmission seats were 3rd level, hard to see the stage from there..but over all it was exciting, and loved seeing the Great One, great ovation from the crowd. :xyzthumbs

I watched most of the first round on the ESPN2. The crowd really seemed to be into it, which was very cool.

the Coyotes took a guy that still has a year of high school left!! wow.

I was there and I got pretty tanked! I couldnt believe all the fans there, they dont get those turnouts for games. So, you guys think the trade up was anything more than a PR stunt? They had our pick (Dunn?) ranked 7th or 8th everywhere I looked. It did seem to get the crowd pumped. I know 4 people w/ season tickets and 3 are dropping them this year. Tired of seeing them lose pretty much. Fans around here need something to get excited about.

I don't think the trade was a PR thing--Ladd is somebody that the 'Canes had their eye on, and he was projected to go as one of the first five picks. So really the 'Canes had to trade up to make sure that they got him, or lose him for sure.

And those folks that are dumping their season tix because the team had two bad seasons aren't fans in my book--they're just frontrunners. Probably Dook fans.
