This does not need to be a race issue klgeorge. Fran Tarkington was a white QB. He was a good QB in the sense that he was relatively productive. He is not considered one of the great QBs (now, or back then in his prime). However, that scramblin little bastard was fun to watch and he brought a lot of excitement to the game. As long as Vick is scrambling away from what would bury just about any other QB then he is going to get a lot of attention and media praise . . . black, white, orange, whatever. Try not to get your red white & blue blood all stirred up now :D

The only issue I am pointing out is that they are shoving Vick down our throats. I think that part of that is that he is a black QB. I am not disparaging him because of his color, just the color of his uni. As I said before he has done jack-shit in the NFL, but is being turned into a Jordon like althlete. I wished to GOD we would have got Leftwich last year instead of Gross, but alas...at least Delhomme turned out OK.

BTW Tark was over-rated too.

BTW there has been a black HOF deserving QB, Warren Moon.

Agreed. Vick is way overrated for a guy who just runs around like a little pansy until one of his receivers gets open.

That's sad, Delhomme kicked his ass and he doesn't have the luxery of running around for his life like Leonardo DiCaprio in a LA bathouse.

I think that if you look at it realistically a QB is hired to THROW the ball. In that case I take McNair or Cullpepper any day, these are guys that deserve the recognition.
