Took a risk with Gamble, who may bust, but with work I believe can be special. Explosive, breaks on the ball very well, very raw technically but needs work, but has great ball skills.

Got a solid sure handed possession reciever in Colbert. A need area with Prohel's age and Moose's age and being in a contract year.

A solid local Right Tackle prospect with versatility. Cool.

I wonder if Gamble was worth the 4th. Who did the Panthers think was going to take him?

Colts were going to take him, and promptly traded down when he was gone.

KC also traded down. They easily could have taken him with thier needs.

Agree. I think we did well. Wish we had that 4, but whatever. Yes, it's "only" a 4. Yeah, we got the guy we wanted. And we don't pick again till the 160s.

But first day, A. Got two potential playmakers and then didn't pay too much for a lineman. Build my line all fucking day on 3rd rounders and ride them all the way.

From what I gather since I am in korea and can't watch the draft. I heard that the colts traded down so that makes me think that they wanted gamble. Yes it would have been nice to got ware but maybe they are going to use shaw as a fs. I just hope the ot doesn't have ankle problems and can stay on the field. It should be interesting to see whom they get tomorrow. Whether we trade up or what. It would be nice to see them get peters at te from arkansas. I just love his size and think since he can catch; it would almost be like cheating since he is the same size as an ol when we put in those 2 te sets.

I'd rather have stayed at #31 and probably still gotten Gamble, if not then Troupe, Poole or Strait. Not worth losing the 4th IMO.
    Love Colbert!
Wharton could be special with a little work and if he can stay healthy.

    I'd rate it a B-.

Considering Strait wasn't taken until the 3rd and Poole still hasn't been taken, any of those would have been a bust. Watson was taken before Troupe, so that may not have been a great idea either.

If Dungy wanted Gameble, that makes me feel pretty good. That fella seems to know his D :)

I'm just glad we actually invested the secodnary.

Gamble wasn't going to be available at 3. Colts wanted him, we knew it, we traded up.

Given that, with SF taking Woods, we go with a TE at 31. Which would have been great, assuming we use him. That of course forces Strait likely in round 2, and we will have to target a reciever in round 4.

Me, I just like Gamble and Colbert better for us, long term. They fit us, Gamble is very much like Sehorn when he was good. And Colbert is just tough

I like that all three have played their college ball vs top competition.
