as with the last time, Panthers.com still has guys showing on the roster no longer under contract (Willig, Battaglia Olinger (cut), & Towns) and they haven't yet updated the Claridge signing.

Short, then Ciurciu, should be at MLB. Armstead shouldn't enter into it.

Seeing Hampton second string, or seeing our FS situation, kinda makes me shaky. That sucks.

There was an article when Short signed saying he'd compete for Fields spot, so I put him there instead. When Armstead signed it was mentioned he could play all three so I slid him in behind Morgan because of lack of depth there. Does Ciurciu really count anywhere other than a roster spot at this point?

Magnus, what do you know about Rod Walker? Could he be an upgrade over Buckner?

Makes sense. I'd put Short there since, just blanket assumption, Fields stays a starter, that SHort would back up MLB if Morgan went out. I'd say that, even if Short started at SLB, we'd put him at MLB over WItherspoon or Allen.

Ciurciu's just fodder. No way he sticks. But he's on the roster, so may as well put him there.

    Wreakhavoc:
Rod Walker will probably be better than Moorehead. He's okay. But is he better than Buckner? I'd say if anyone replaces Buckner it would be Burton, who's the typical first DT off the bench in the rotation.

    Yep, scary isn't it? :scared2:

What I'm afraid of is that they'll repeat last year and only look at the guys they've targeted and not look at any one who can help elsewhere.

I think I've seen a couple of places that they want Nelson at RG and Claridge at LG. Not sure why, but I read something last year that suggested they may not want 2 second year guys playing side by side. Or, they may want to run to the left more, since that's where Gross is, and Nelson may be the better pulling G.

Does Nelson back up Mitchell? Also Mitchells contract gets fat soon I believe. Might a center to groom in later rounds be in order?
