Incredible game ! Just love to see but teams nailing clutch shots back and forth all the way to the end.

I agree...UAB left it all on the floor, you could see it in their faces. They would not be denied, you gotta love the effort. THAT is what this tournament is all about.

Unfortunately, Niner fans know first hand that Mo Finley is a clutch shooting gamer. He is incredibly underrated as a player due to his size (about 5'10). He does it all. UAB does not have an incredible amount of talent but they play so hard, so well together. Now that they're done drubbing us, I enjoy watching them play. I hope teams continue to overlook them and they darkhorse their way to the final four.

Not the first time UAB has been a Cinderella. They knocked off #1 seed Virginia in Ralph Sampson's junior year. The year before, UNC knocked off #1 seed Sampson-led Virginia and made it to the finals to lose to Indiana. The year after, NC State knocked off #1 Sampson-led Virgina and made the finals to win it all over Houston.

Interesting note: In 1984, the year after Sampson left, Virginia made it to the Final Four.

More interesting note. In 1983, the year after Dominique Wilkins left, Georgia made it to the Final Four. They beat Michael Jordan-led UNC and then lost to the Cardiac Kids.

Let's not forget it took Cincinnati losing the Big O to win back to back national championships.
