I like it the way Piper said it best.

They made their mistakes somewhere else.

Manu is a better blocker than Wiggins. Bruener is too if he can stay healthy.

Wiggins has playmaker ability. He had big drop. He had some big catches too...some catch and runs. I really like the guy, I wish he was staying.

I don't see anything out there that's so far above & beyond that I feel like breaking continuity. He's good enough to be a keeper. JMO

Seidman has got to come to camp prepared to compete though. If he shows up day one 100% healthy, I think the competitions over before it begins and this thread is all for nothing

I am thinking we are looking for a mauler tight end who can block like an offensive lineman. Mangum is more of a pass catching tight end than a blocker.

It would not kill me to have Wiggins back either but I do not see a lot of upside from him.

I agree we're probably looking for a 3rd T in the #2TE spot. I'd say Mangum is probably more of an oversized FB than anything else.

but Georgia TE Ben Watson may be making a bit of a run at Florida's Ben Troupe to rate the #2 grade at the position after Miami's Kellen Winslow. Watson was held back somewhat by injuries at Georgia, but impressed at last month's combine, running in the low 4.5s at almsot 260 pounds.
He benched 36 reps at the combine.
