"Interesting though that they are considering a player so similar. Kind of throws a monkey wrench in that whole "smarter/less athletic" tradeoff some were speaking of."

"I missed the section about Beckett's lack of intelligence...Is he less atheletic than Grant?"

Long and lanky, not as fluid or natural as Grant. Really reminds me more of Rashard Anderson. Though a little more polished and aware.

    those numbers.
Toi Cook had similar numbers. Not having a ton of interceptions doesn't make equal. I've never seen a safety on this team play man like Grant.

I would never use the words lack of intelligence. According to scouting reports, He's had a history of bad decisions in coverage, as Grant has, as, well, every safety has of course done. Difference is, he didn't make them here yet. And he was benched a later cut for these mistakes, seemed to make more of them, and never really displayed the upside Grant did.

Like Grant, he seemed to have cut down on those mistakes last year, in his 4th year. Now he's a UFA.

I won't comment on his athleticism until I'm see him. His workout numbers suggest that he's a good athlete, probably not overall as agile as Grant, but a little bigger and stronger, and with good speed.

But yes, the mental part of the game is what he needs/needed to work on.

And yeah. He's not a guy who we will line up along side L. Coles man to man in key situations.

Was that a college scouting report from three years ago? A lot of maturing and growing can happen at that age.

Gonna miss that. Minter could play a ball as well as anyone, but I've never seen a Panther lock on in this regime like that performance.

    No.

The bit about getting cut due to tackling and bad coverage is obviously Pro.
