and as Minter had last year? since they're the same number.

Doug Evans had 8 picks that really bad year. He couldn't cover. I'd rather have a guy like we did, who could cover.

I don't agree 100%, but I more or less do.

This will not do. For not stating your unequivical 100% agreement, you have left me no choice but to select an angry smiley.

And trust me, there's more of that medicine where that came from.

There is some middle ground between blindly believing and saying BS!!! at any doubt, or saying, OH, there can't possibly be any plan here. Many times we don't know, because the Panther FO gerenally keeps their mouthes shut. Frustrating for the fans, but that's a good thing. Letting your mouth run about your players just causes trouble.

I think what some of us are doing is just saying, well it could be this, or that. That doesnt mean we think it will necessarily work out. But I think saying these guys obviously are stupid, as has been said here, is ridiculous. Or that saying I don't agree with the plan, or I don't understand the plan, so there obviously isn't a plan, is also not right.

    Its more than that, though.

I don't think anyone is saying there is no plan. Just that the plan is a little scary.

Hurney does a fine job of balancing the cap. He isn't an evaluator, just the guy who seems to know how much they can spend.

Which means we should not have the cap problems we once had. Which is good. But their can be a disconnect between value and cap management. Which means you have to work doube-hard getting the replacements.

The other problem is the value system. We've never spent much on the secondary so far in Fox's three years. We look for depth in the front 7, each year, but the secondary doesn't get fed.

In the end, yes, we got to the SB with the secondary we had, with the corners we had. But it was largely the corners where we got beat as well.

These are concerns. Its a pattern. Since we can't actually do much about it, there really are two choices. Debate and bitch, or sing "Happy happy - joy joy."

In the end, both waste the same amount of time. One just causes more angst, while the other can get a little old. There's only so much Ren and Stimpy I can take.

That's true. It may be a pattern, or it may be that the right opportunity hasn't come up. I agree I would tend to put more money in the front 7, but only up to a certain point. You need a balanced team. O/D. Run/pass. Front/back in the D.

If this is truly what people are upset about, regardless of the many posts saying "There is no plan," (maybe not by you) then OK. I still think its too early to tell, though.

FWIW, Minter has a pretty big contract. The current FO didn't give it to him, but they haven't cut him either.
