if donnally and jeno james leave via free agency, you'll need a guard or two.

still need another WR...even if moose stays.

I'd like to see some kind of monster signed to play right guard - like a young Nate Newton, somebody you can't NOT get three yard running behind. But that's actually second on my wish list.
First is a good PHYSICAL corner to compliment Manning. I thought Howard played soft last night.
And third is a smart speedy linebacker as insurance for Fields and the exellent but oft injured Morgan.
It would be nice to have a big reciever to develop. I do appreciate Moose but he's not getting any younger and he doesn't have a step to loose. Maybe Walter Young can come back and become that guy. He showed promise in camp.
An upgrade at tight end would be nice but our problem isn't so much that we don't have good tight ends but that we just don't use tight ends. Henning said as much when he let Walls go. I was thrilled with Wiggens two catches in the second half last night. But then we forgot about him again.

I promise I'm not ripping on this just because Dukey posted it.

But I really respect John Clayton and yet he serves this shit up? Poorly written, a lot of facts are wrong:
they talk two paragraphs about Steve Smith and then address Proehl by saying "At the receiver position"...

meanwhile, Mitchell ISN'T a free agent. If Clayton knows something I don't, he better let the player's association know, too.

On the other hand he does suggest that we have $12 mil "after incentives" which is good news. Could be wrong, considering Mort's said $10 mil. But hey, a guy can dream.
If Proehl doesn't go, it's almost a plus. You consider bringing Dyson back at the min, draft a guy. Otherwise, we keep Proehl, draft a guy. Same difference, I guess, so I don't know where I thought a plus existed. But whatever, we need a midrounds pick.

Interesting in that he didn't even mention Moose. Guess the guys who have the access to the rest of the info know he's not going anywhere. Sorry Willy and UNCDubya.

Agree about a receiver to develop. I'm kinda tempered as to whether or not we need a posession guy - we still have three, technically four with Hankton, and one speed guy.

I wanted a guard like that in Frank Middleton - but I think he's a locker room problem. But sure, a guy like that. I like those guards to have the big ass - and don't you bitches even make that into something - because guys with that big ass and the big frame tend to have a more powerful base.
Jeno has it, even though he's kinda light. Jamar Nesbit had it but he just wasn't able to get mean enough.

There oughta be some guys out there who can do this for us - I felt like Manuwai could've, but we got Nelson instead. oops.

.........power base guard(interior guy)priority #1 is my ole gut feeling ...obivious need on the defensive side should be priority #2....LB(Fields? and getting Morgan outside),#3 - WR(possession type, hint: another ACC player...:p) and FA CB/Safety(flip a coin to choose but a leader/mentor at either).

I like Kaedling a lot as well. He is accurate as hell and has a cannon for a leg. The problem is that I have been hearing about him going in the 2nd or 3rd.

With that said, if we do decide to not re-sign Kasay (which wouldn't surprise me since he will cost quite a bit and is a liability with his short KO's...especially with Fox being so big on field position), would you take Kaedling that early?

You put a team of Muhammads together and I'll put a team of Smith's together and we'll see who wins.
