Recent Peter King SI.com snippet on T.O. -

    >>>>“I think I have one wish for Terrell Owens: that he'd just shut up. Maybe I'm ridiculously out of touch with what is divisive in sports and what isn't, but just because the guy can get out of his San Francisco contract and become a free agent doesn't mean the free world should be drooling over him. He couldn't get along with Steve Mariucci, the nicest guy in NFL history, so what makes people think he's going to coexist peacefully with (pick one) Andy Reid, Brian Billick or Herman Edwards? Owens terrorized sidelines and assistant coaches under two different head coaches in San Francisco. And did you notice how many passes he dropped last year? I'm stunned to hear so many media folk say this team or that team -- usually Philadelphia -- should move heaven and earth to sign Owens. I might have agreed back in September or October of last year, before I saw him go off on Greg Knapp on the sidelines and drop every fourth ball and experience alligator arms and have such a good time on his cell phone on the sidelines after getting KO'd from the 49ers-Eagles game late in the season. Now? The only way I'd want Owens on my team is with an incentive-laden contract, so I could get out of the deal with minimal penalty the first or second time he did a totally idiotic thing.”<<<<

    Go man GO! :D

I think Leon from the beer commercials is patterned after Owens. Leon is a wide receiver and all...

And I thought I was the only one that disliked premadonna athletes.

Did anyone hear Jim Brown interview him last week on 1660AM? He's a complete self serving, pompass azz.

As good as TO is on the field, I don't think I want his attitude fucking up a good thing. No thanks, I'd look elsewhere if I want WR in FA.

On the Rome show today he basicaly said the same thing. He said he hadnt done the numbers, but he was sure of all the top WR's Owens would have the most drops by far.

Thats a very nice stats page. I have never seen that one before...thanks Mags.

Based on that page you pointed the link to it would seem King was way off base. However as you know stats are a subjective thing. Take the top 5 guys, or the arguable top five:

Marvin Harrison: catches 94 targets 142 percent 66.2%
Randy Moss: Catches 111 Targets 172 percent 64.5%
Torry Holt: catches 117 Targets 183 percent 63.9%
Chad Johnson: catches 90 Targets 154 percent 58.4%
Terrell Owens: catches 80 targets 146 percent 54.8%

Steve Smith (bonus): catches 88 targets 141 percent 62.4%
