I saw most of this game tonight (this is the first one I've seen from start to finish basically since Peter Lavioette took ove the reins). I can see a difference offensively already (they are more aggressive on the forecheck). Now if they can only get the stupid puck into the net!!!!! Meanwhile, the Canes get another 'W', which works for me :) !!!! Now if they can beat the Caps tomorrow night, they can have their first 3 game winning streak of the year. That would rock!!!!!!!

That goal Kevyn Adams is about to score in that pic was bad ass. I mean, it was a badass backhander. Why do the Canes always wear Red at home when they have a national game?

My God were they kissing his ass. Hey, he's a good 2nd or 3rd liner, but the attention he received should be reserved for the greats like Messier and Lindros. Fans want to hear about the stars, they should have been talking about 1994 and the Messiah's guarantee way more.Talking about Kevin Adams is fine for that flamer Trip Tracey and his partner because it's a local audience, but when you are playing to a national audience, they want to hear about the Rangers 11 hall of famers

The NHL has reversed the jerseys from now on, the dark jerseys are now the home jerseys, and vise- versa. This was the way the league had played from up until 1970, they changed due to color television. Fans wanted to see new colours every week (example, every Leafs game was blue vs white). I beleive all but one of the alts are dark.

I'm sure this enourages home fans to buy the alt jersey too....$$$

    You GOT to be kidding

    :handjob:
:roflmao: ....and you've been trying to BUY another one for the last 7 years. 2 cups since 1940? That star power is REALLY working.
    ***still laughing***
Would you mind sharing what you're smoking with the rest of us? If I could get that delusional, I'd never have to leave the house.

The rag$ are the joke of the NHL. Year after year, top payroll, and cant make the playoffs.
Gotta hand it to you Captain Hazelwood, I haven't laughed like that in a long time.

    Thanks, man.

    Messier a has been? :roflmao:
This "has been" has 13 goals so far this year, 2 more than any Hurricane. He has 24 points, 4 more than any Hurricane. There is a perception that Messier is a has been because he has been so fucking awesome for so long that the standard for him is set way, way above everybody else. He was just named player of the week for Christ's sake. Yes, he is 42 and has slowed down, but he is still an incredible assett. Even if he was having as bad a year statistially as say, Jeff O'Neil, he is still the greatest leader in the history of sports.
Brak, you're making fun of the Rangers' recent success and you're an Islanders fan? The only time I ever hear anything good the Islanders have done is when I'm watching "I Love the 80's" on VH1
