    Charlotte's Withers Named Men's Basketball Player of the Week

    Charlotte sophomore forward Curtis Withers has been named Men's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the 49ers to a pair of wins last week with his league-leading sixth and seventh double-doubles of the season.

    He opened the week by scoring a career-high 25 points with 10 rebounds in a 20-point win over Delaware State. Withers then scored 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Charlotte ended the nation’s third-longest home court winning streak (31 games) with a 64-59 victory at Southern Illinois. He shot .652 (15-of-23) for the week, while adding five steals and five assists.

    I want to see him touch the ball on every half court set.

    It all revolves around Mr. Withers.

    If he can continue to score and rebound while decreasing his turnovers, I like our chance to dance. :banana:
